Welcome to 3rd grade! Incoming 3rd Grade Summer Information

Upcoming Dates for the 2025-2026 School Year

• 8/8/25- Meet the teachers
• 8/11/25- First day for students

Summer time is time for enjoying family and fun, but it's also important to keep your brains busy and your minds sharp so you remember everything for the next school year. MACS encourages students to complete a "Summer Slide Challenge" to prevent any learning regression over the next couple of months. 

Incoming 3rd graders will have 3 options to choose between for the summer slide challenge:

1. Complete the library reading challenge AND get your Reflex Greenlight at least 3 days per week.
2. Complete 2 i-Ready reading and 2 i-Ready math lessons per week (lessons should not take more than 15-20 minutes of active learning time)
3. Purchase and complete the 2nd to 3rd grade Summer Bridge workbook from Amazon.

We are so excited that you are going to be in third grade with us this upcoming school year. Third grade is such a fun time to learn, grow, and build friendships.
