Welcome to 4th grade!
We are so excited that you are going to be in fourth grade with us for the 2025-2026 school year! Fourth grade is such a fun time to learn, grow, and build friendships. Take a look at the attached files for our homework and behavior policies. Printed versions of these policies are coming home for you to review and sign during the first week.
Tips for making the school year a success:
- Breakfast & morning supervision starts at 7:15
- Morning Mile starts at 7:30
- Classrooms open at 8:00; it helps to be here by 8:00 - we have so much to do!
- Students will have to check in as tardy to the office at 8:15 if not in classrooms
- Dismissal is at 2:15 on M, T, TH, F and 1:00 EVERY Wednesdays
- Bring a refillable water bottle with a sealable lid to school everyday.
- Students may bring their own small, healthy snack to enjoy every day.
- Create a daily habit of reviewing your student's planner and homework found in their binder!
- Classroom temperatures may vary! Students may keep a lightweight long sleeve shirt or jacket in their backpack in case they get chilly.
Can’t wait to see you,
MACS 4th Grade Team
Reminder SUMMER SLIDE DUE: 8/15/25
Summer time is time for enjoying family and fun, but it's also important to keep your brains busy and your minds sharp so you remember everything for the next school year. MACS encourages students to complete a "Summer Slide Challenge" to prevent any learning regression over the next couple of months.
Incoming 4th graders will have 3 options to choose between for the summer slide challenge:
- Complete the library reading challenge AND get your Reflex Greenlight at least 3 days per week.
- Complete 2 i-Ready reading and 2 i-Ready math lessons per week (lessons should not take more than 15-20 minutes of active learning time
- Purchase and complete the 3rd to 4th grade Summer Bridge workbook from Amazon.
Summer Resources are also available on our MACS homepage!
