Welcome to Kindergarten!
We are so excited that you are going to be in kindergarten with us this upcoming school year. Kindergarten is such a fun time to learn, grow, and build friendships. Below are a couple activities you can do at home this summer to build hand strength, get a head start on phonics, and just some fun ideas. If you would like to have your student participate in the “summer slide” challenge, the bingo activity is located under the "Summer Resource Tab." Just print it out and have your student complete 10 of the activities. Turn in your bingo card at the beginning of the year and your student can participate in the activities Mrs. Maynard picks to celebrate the hard work they accomplished over summer break.
Enjoy your summer. We can’t wait to see you in August!!
Home Activities:
Cutting, gluing, sidewalk chalk, playdough, and having your students color are great ways to help build hand strength.
- UFLI News: UFLI is a program we use throughout the school to help build phonics skills in students. You can check out free resources if you want to get a head start and check out any of the resources they offer this summer.
